CHILE BBQ CHICKEN

1. Large chicken 3-4 founds cut into 7-8 pieces. 

2. BBQ Sauce (Ingredients):

  • Tomato paste - 1 cup
  • Ketchup - ½ cup
  • Maple syrup - 2 teaspoons
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Worcestershire sauce - 4 teaspoons (optional)
  • Dijon mustard - 2 teaspoons
  • Sea salt - to taste
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Liquid smoke - 1 teaspoon
  • Hot sauce - 1 teaspoon

Alright, let's make some delicious BBQ chicken! Here's how:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and position oven rack to middle.
  • In a medium saucepan, mix together ingredients for BBQ sauce and turn heat to high. Simmer for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
  • Lightly spray baking dish with oil and place chicken pieces skin-side down. Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
  • Take chicken out of oven and flip each piece over. Spread BBQ sauce evenly over chicken and bake for 20 minutes.
